It’s been a pretty dramatic 24 hours for us. Here’s the latest news:

Priceless 2008 will be postponed to a later weekend this summer.
This weekend, we’re gonna rock your faces with an event in the city, see below for more info.

As we’ve communicated up to now, the woods are on fire. There is no access to the original site in Belden and residents of the small community have been asked to evacuate the area. We’ve been on the phone to pretty much every conceivable property owner in the area and nothing seems workable. We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all those who have sent in suggestions, there have been some leads that seemed promising, that’s why we’ve waited until now with this decision.

Here’s where we are now:
We have decided that the best option is to reschedule Priceless 2008. We ask for your patience while we are figure out the best weekend to hold our event, it takes a little while to hammer out the details of staffing, venue and logistics. We’ll let you know as soon as we reach a conclusion, likely in the coming weeks.

We also ask you, our community, for your support in this process. In addition to being a tragedy for the affected communities, the fires in Plumas county and the subsequent postponement of our event will have a huge impact on us, energetically, logistically and financially. We understand that some of you may not able to attend our event later this summer due to scheduling conflicts, but we ask you to do everything possible to find someone to sell your tickets to. We’re not sure yet what the refund process will look like, but we do know that we’ll do everything possible to find a fair solution for all involved.

So, it looks like there’s now a whole lot of people without plans for the weekend…Guess what, we’ve scrambled to line up something amazing. Join us on Saturday night for EVAC, a place for you to direct all that energy you had stored up for Priceless. As mentioned in the last email, while we can’t say much yet, we do know that IT’LL BLOW YOUR FRIGGIN’ PANTS OFF. Those of you who have been to False Profit events in the past know that we do not fuck around and Saturday night will be no exception. This party will be at a local underground location. The insane lineup will be announced soon, but you can definitely expect a couple of the headliners that you would have seen at Priceless to blow it way the fuck up. We’ll have some of the art from Priceless on hand and the shit will go off.

We’re also keeping our plan to have a BBQ on the 4th of July for you all, so we’ll be hauling grills to a local park, setting up lawn games and having a grand time outside. We really hope you can join us, more details will follow soon, by email, on our website and on Tribe.net.

It’s been a crazy ride and we thank you all so much for bearing with us and remaining flexible during the process. We can’t tell you all how excited we are for this Saturday. And we know that later this summer, when the time and weather are right, Priceless 2008 is gonna be epic.
