Seven years ago now,
in an alley called Norfolk–
an idea was started!
A new party type a-woke!

Many times since that day,
back in two-zero-zero-one,
we have gathered, cavorted,
and reveled in fun.

We’ve delighted! And snickered!
And tickled! And cuddled!
We’ve been happy sad angry
ecstatic befuddled!

And now, as we’re scheming
how to make priceless awesomer,
as we dream up big plans,
and then revamp them biggerer…

It occurs to us– HEY!
Since we like to have parties,
and we like to have parties withIN parties, withIN parties…


Let’s throw us a birthday!
Let’s throw you one too!
Let’s gather in costume and eat cake and do
all the sorts of fun birthday-y things we can do!

So that upcoming saturday,
‘tween beach time and raving,
while we’re chillin in belden,
happily misbehaving…

We invite you to dress
in your Seussical best–
be that thneeds or striped stockings
or a bright faux fur vest–
and come to the main stage as a VERY important guest
at a big birthday shindig full of vigor and zest.

So yes, pack your green eggs,
your oobleck, and foxes.
your hops, pops, hats, cats, zebras, fishbowls and sockses.
